Dear All

How can someone change the postal / mailing address and email address after submitting the ITA application? All the forms for contact information and other information are appearing "view form" and not "update form". NO changes are permitted on the cic account as it's not allowed to make changes post submission and when the application is under review. HELP!!

thanks. However, help me understand when is mailing / postal address used in the application process?? I have changed the "correspondence email address" on the face of the cic login. Do i still need to get the postal / mailing address changed inside the EE profile ?
The email address you use to log into online account is separate from the email address provided in your application. The email address provided in your application will be used to contact you. If you are no longer using that email, you'll need to update it via web form. Otherwise you may miss messages from IRCC.

In terms of postal address, one thing I can think of is that if you move from one country to another while your application is still being processed, it could be transferred to a different VO based on your current address.

So if someone does that will it lead to an increase in the Processing Time?
eg:- If someone applied for Canada PR and Submitted all the documents including getting their Biometrics done when they were in the US. Now they have moved to India. Can they get their Passport stamped for COPR in India and if yes how and will it increase the processing time?

Hey,

I am in the same boat as you. What did you finally do? Can you please shed some light from your experience. Thanks!

Hi same boat as you. Do you have any updates? Did it take you longer? I am in my home country for 2 months then I will return to the US. Do I still need to update my address?
