I just received the email containing the notice to appear to take the oath of citizenship.

@Han By the way, thank you for sharing the link to the translation service. Turns out, I don't need translation for my UAE stamps as they have the dates in English as well.

Speaking of entry stamps, I went to Mexico last year and the stamp was so light I could barely see it after I photocopied my passport. I didn't even put effort to make it more visible.... they haven't returned my application yet so hopefully it's good. lol

What do you mean? I don't think we needed to submit photocopy of the stamps?

the stamps on the passport... don't we need to submit photocopy of passport pages that have stamps/visa?

Nope. As per the checklist, you just need to submit biographical pages of the passports/travel documents that you held during 5 years of the eligibility period. You do, however, give them consent that they can get your records from CBSA to confirm the dates.

@arielajv Any news from your side?

Yes. I had my Oath 3 days ago, just found some time between work and running errands to visit this forum with a little update lol.
Finally, this process is over for me, it's been pretty long. It's all done, I've just applied for my passport today (needed to wait 2 business days).
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

A question from guys who applied for passport. Have you received it? How many days did it take?

No, haven't received it. I didn't pay for the express service though. No rush for me. They suggested a pick up in order to get it sooner, but since it's extra $20, I refused and said that mailing would be fine.

So as I was notified, about 3 weeks to a month waiting period for the first passport.

So, I became a Canadian citizen yesterday! :)
The online status shows Complete today! Does this mean that I can go ahead and apply for passport?
