Thank you. Shoot me a solution please, should I need to apply for a visitor visa with fund proof (as I'm not in Canada) with an explanation letter on grounds of my PGWP in supporting doc? (They don't ask for any permit you have got, it is a tourist visa) Apparently, it is approved in 13 days in India which is awesome!
This is exactly what I told you to do, way up in this thread.

Thank you sir, but I was not aware about the visitor visa thing as per my situation. I was under the impression that I could get a TRV based on my PGWP. I have been confused throughout this process and thanks to you guys to guide me well, cheers!

Hi Sir, one more question please, I saw the visitor visa is valid for up to 10 years? What does that mean? Will this override my PGWP validity for 1 year or does it mean I could stay in Canada for more than 6 months each year up to 10 years? Kindly guide me!

Not everyone on this forum is a sir.

As I already very clearly stated, the validity of a TRV has NOTHING to do with status in Canada.

It will not extend your PGWP to ten years, no chance at all for that.

It will just get you admitted to Canada. That's it. You can't technically stay in Canada for more than six months without a PGWP.

Dear sir/madam, the visitor visa doesn't even consider the purpose of work or study, it just considers a visit, business, tourism, family meet etc. Do I need to attach my PGWP scanned copy, although, there's no direct field to attach this. You said validity has NOTHING to do with the status, do you mean I will get normal visitor visa valid for 10 years and my status of 1-year PGWP doesn't even matter even though I attach the scanned copy?

Yes, include a copy of your PGWP.

A TRV allows a person to board a commercial carrier to travel to Canada. That's it. Status is granted by CBSA or IRCC separately. You will have status as per your PGWP.

No on can say how long the TRV will be valid for.

What about an invitation letter? It's a mandatory document in the check list. Do I need to upload this as well in the visitor visa application?

Just upload your PGWP instead.
Should I upload PGWP scanned copy to the field of "invitation letter"? I need to upload something there otherwise the application could not proceed?

On a separate note, could I select Canada in the questionnaire about current residence? It gets me to TRV made outside Canada and then I could mention current residence as India (which is the case) in the form IMM5257e?

Either way is fine.

But in the second case, they don't ask about the fund proof doc in supporting the doc list. They just ask for a figure of my funds in CAD in IMM5257e form, in that case, would it be safe to proceed? I wonder the chances of rejection due to fund reasons. I'm sorry to ask so many questions but I truly am in a state of confusion. Thanks :)

You have a valid PGWP. The chances of refusal are extremely low. Just apply.
