Yes after 16,5 months we were approved in early July and my husband landed a few weeks after.

No interview was requested, we will never know what stalled our application !
WOO HOO!! congratulations!! Did you order notes from CSIS or anyone else in the past 4 months? Did you need another medical? We're currently at the beginning of month #17...

Yeah, I saw another case from 2016 also took 3 years. That must be from the Harper government I assume, stuck in that back log.

Hahaha

I noticed that some visa offices start background check at the early stage of the application, the background usually takes long throughout the whole process and even lasts longer, but at least it saves sometime because it happens the same time with the eligibility review. However, some offices only start after eligibility is done (after pre-arrival services), so a whole year is wasted!
Yeah we are at 16 months now. They only just started security and criminally last month. Eligibility is passed and got a Pre-Arrival letter.

I`m at 22months, whats your timeline please?
June 4, 2018, applicant received with CIC.
August 20, 2018, transferred to Warsaw VO. They also asked us for some documents which we sent them.
September 9, 2019, we contacted MP for an update on our case since it was silence for over a year.
Sept 18, 2019, our MP gave us the update which I mentioned above as well as landing fee and UK police check. I have sent to them last month. I hope not too much longer.

Do you know why yours is taking so long?
What is your timeline?

They requested for additional info in November 2018, which we sent right away on our online portal but I didnt pay attention to it if they got it or not, not until August when we inquire about our application and they ask to send the documents again, which they just confirmed they got it and the last time I inquire, they said our application is in queue for review. .... my VO is Accra, Ghana
