I am planning to bring my parents to Canada from India under Visitor Visa. I've booked tickets both ways. By mistake I booked the return flights on a day which is more than 6 months ( just 15 days after their 6th month). I am planning to change it later but not before their arrival date.

My question is will that be an issue anywhere while boarding the flight or during immigration here?

You are not advised to book tickets or buy tickets if you are applying for a visit visa. Flight itinerary will do. Purchase once the visa is confirmed.

Canada
If they are asked to provide proof of return tickets at the border and they show tickets more than six months away, they may be denied entry.

As per KHP it is CBSA you have to worry about, the airline will only be concerned they have both a visa and a return ticket. The airline are not there to police how long someone might be able to stay in Canada.

Always a chance of course even without showing return tickets to CBSA they may get considerably less time than 6 months .Return tickets longer than 6 months if shown to CBSA as per KHP a whole different possible outcome given they are presenting as overstayers upfront.
