Oh wow that might impact my application then although I returned to work August 2018. So if my application gets delayed so that my income qualifies then I won't be able to sponsor my nephew.
Proof of income is usually calculated with your NOA. You’ll have read the requirements and amounts but if you don’t meet the income requirement your application will be rejected. You would have to wait until you can prove a higher income for example after you file your 2019 tax return. Would do encourage you to read the application. I am unfamiliar with all that is necessary to apply.

I just got home and looking at my tax return summary. My employment income not inculding the EI still qualifies for 4 people but okay I will wait when I file my tax for this year so my income for 2019 will potentially strengthen my application. Just worried it will be too late for my nephew. Thank you for your feedback!

If you meet the income requirements, no reason you can't file the sponsorship application now. Processing times for applications for other family members are in the range of 2 years and you'll need to maintain your income level for this period of time.

It won't strengthen your app. Apply now if you meet the income requirement.

I have more questions please. My sister in UK has Leave to Remain status and been there for the last 10 years. 1.) Does she need to go back to Philippines so I can sponsor her or would her status make my application easier? 2.) So if I sponsor her should she send her pr application here in Canada or should she apply to Canadian Embassy in London. 3.) My nephew is turning 22 August next year do we still have enough time? Should I have a consultant or representative to process or comply documents faster? Note: my nephew and niece are both in Philippines.
1. No, she doesn't need to return.

2. Read the guide.

3. Yes, it's enough time. His age is locked in at submission.

You don't need a consultant.

Based on your post it seems like you were not working for over 6 months but returned back to work in August 2018. Did you only work those 4 months. Did you go on EI or some form of disability or sick leave?

I went on sick leave from January 2018 received EI around February until first week of June. I was wrong to say August. I went back to work July. So my NSA shows my income for 6 months July to December. Thank you!
