Looks like i made a mistake, should have waited another week and applied in July
I got my open work permit today I'm soooooo happy, I love you all guys/girls. I hope you get yours soon!!

We called cic this morning. The lady said to call at the 4 month mark if we haven't received it. She said ours was in edmonton.
Well mine was exactly 4 months so hang in there!!
Does the Work permit approval show duration like 1 year or 2 years . Thanks for information and again congratz

They both go hand in hand. I did the Restoration of Status which requires a medical request but they didn't ask for it because they know I'm gonna get one for the PR application. The medical request will work for both the extension and for the PR. When you get it done, just send a webform with a your application details and tell them where you got it done and they will add it to your sponsorship file as well.
