Proceedural Fairness Query asked by CIC

HI All,

I have been asked a query wrt to my Canadian experience declared. By mistake i had chosen 'Yes' for the question 'Study Fulltime during the time of work' instead 'No'. Now i need to provide a letter of explanation stating that the expected answer is NO and due to key-in mistake it was given as YES.

Did anyone face such scenario earlier, if yes, please do shed some light on this. whether a LOE should be enough along with the supporting doc's to cover my Canadian Experience or any other evidence is required.

I even called CIC and they asked me to provide a LOE with evidences. Just to be sure on myside before submitting the SOE.

I guess you need a reference letter from the employee to confirm your status and pay stubs at least for a year.

I have added the following documents as supporting evidence.
1. Letter of offer - reference letter from my employer stating the duration and nature of my work.
2. Letter of employment
3. Current work permit
4. Tax form for 2018
5. Payslips for the whole duration

these are docs I added to my letter of explanation as supporting evidence.

the latest update is all the checks are now passed, but a final decision is not been made. I waiting for further update from CIC.

The issue is, you originally claimed to be studying full-time at the same time you were performing this job. I understand the error, but none of this proves you were not studying.

Of course it is not easy to prove you were not doing something : ) Assuming you were studying prior to starting this job, the best you could do is get a a statement from your college/university about your dates of enrolment, which (hopefully) shows you were not enrolled at this time.

Usually this is a simple question and explanation, I´m surprised the VO make a procedural fairness letter about this, unless they suspect you really were studying at that time.
