Do Canadian PR holders need German transit visa if travelling to Calgary via Frankfurt?

I have booked a ticket to Calgary from New Delhi through Lufthansa. There is a ~6 hour layover in Frankfurt.

I am an Indian passport holder and have a canadian pr card. Can anyone please suggest me if i need a transit visa for Frankfurt? Has anyone who has a pr card taken this flight before?

Any help would be very appreciated as I am travelling soon.

Your PR card is irrelevant, you need to find out if you need a visa to fly through germany as an Indian national.

You certainly do not need a transit visa for Germany

That's not really true. Due to OPs PR card for Canada they don't need a transit Visa for Germany.

How are you going to get to the US to catch your flight without a visa?

You need a US visa to enter/transit through US. Canadian PR doesn't give the same rights as a Canadian passport.

Yes, I did. It says you can transit with valid Canada PR but the post is talking when traveling from Canada.

Ok to correct it. Having a Canadian PR is not enough to get visa free transit. Generally speaking you have to consult rules of that specific country (in some cases only some nationals with PR are allowed for visa free transit). Please be also aware that these rule might change over the time.
So always check with embassy of the country you want to transit.

No the COPR should allow you to fly without a transit visa.
