How long can security check last?

Lol I am AOR May, 2018. Security started in June, 2018. CSIS sent report back to CBSA on January, 2019. Now security final check is pending with CBSA eversince.
If you are under security screening it can take anywhere from 6 months to 24 months or even more, so there's no timeline. Contacting MPs, Ministries, IRCC, CBSA, CSIS, ordering GCMS nothing can help you unfortunately.

I ordered CSIS notes and when they finishes your security screening, they tells you when they received the request from CBSA and when they send it back to them, if it's in processing then they only tells you that it's with them and don't disclose the dates.

The process is: IRCC (Short lists candidates for SS) - CBSA (Forwards request to CSIS) - CSIS (Does the checks and then send the report back to CBSA) - CBSA ( Based on CSIS report, conducts further review, once done send final report to IRCC) - IRCC (Review and closing)

What is the longest known timeline for processing under with SS?

I have seen cases as long as 10 years, but those are way more complicated cases where people are involved in wars, detention, refugees, etc. Read some of the court cases from the Federal court website and you will see but for express for 95% cases it's from 6 months to 24 months max.

My SS case have been done. Usually for chinese people, it will take around 10 months, but I saw someone got finished around 6~8 months.

It took me 10 months. I am inland sponsorship applicant. But I think the SS is not depending on program, it is depending on your nationality.

Same boat, yesterday I received ADR for Cv+form, people told me it's for SS.
I will just forget about Canada for now and live my life.

In the end, our SS had a statistically average duration - 8 month

We're in month 11 of SS now (PA from Syria). May 2018 Outland applicant. Expecting CBSA notes sometime this week...got IRCC notes and MP check-in last week. Waiting, waiting, waiting...

Has anyone here been able to get CBSA notes (not GCMS) from outside of Canada ? Please let me know. Thanks.
