Hey everyone, just wanted to update as I'm part of the batch of people who seemed to be skipped (Aug 6 Rec'd date for me):

App Rec'd 08/06
AOR1: 10/08
Biometrics Request: 10/09
Sponsor Approval: 10/10

We booked our Biometrics Appointment Date for 10/23 because the VAC would only let us schedule 2 weeks later. I am calling soon to try and make it sooner.

The floodgates have opened and all August applicants will be in process really soon! I'm betting by October 21st we should all have AOR1 !

Still not able to link my application.
I'm using option -family name and date of birth for applicant and I tried both options for- passport and place of birth.
Still doesnt work.
I also put 2 as the number of applicants.
Help please

Hi All,

I am august mid applicant and application was received on August 12. I had a call with CIC few minutes ago and i got the standard reply saying that file is on system and its currently being under review, usually it might take 2.5 to 3 months to get AOR.

I also mention that some late august and early September applicant receiving file numbers, officer did not answer on this. He said overall processing time is 12 months, so all i have to wait for the process !!

I called them a few days ago and got the same answer. However, the lady did end up checking the system, finding the file and provided the temporary file number and she seemed surprised as well.

Try calling again and asking for a temporary file number. Just say my friends mailed their application around the same time as me and they received their AoR already.

I am August 01st applicant. Haven’t received AOR1 neither got the application back. If my application is returned due to any missing documents what would be the timeline to recieve it back. I am sponsor and gave my Canadian address for correspondence purposes.

Hello Everyone, my wife is a Canadian American and we reside in the US, we submitted our application January 2018, we received acknowledgement and later we received an email that our application is now being processed in Accra, Ghana...I am a Nigerian...we received an email asking for more documents which we provided and they said they have received everything....does anyone have info of what next and how long?

When I linked my husbands account, I used the name he had in his passport. It took me forever to realize that.. hope u got urs linked

I am pretty sure they are very aware of their mistake in not processing those in the 3 week period, we are in there too. They probably have been instructed to just say the overall or average time is 12 months rather than answering the question and admitting that they screwed up. IMO
