I did my biometrics at Seattle today. My appointment was scheduled for Jul 15th. But I wanted to do early walk in today. And it was super smooth. No one questioned anything and they didn't ask for appointment letter at all. Its not too crowded too. Got it done within half an hour including waiting in the queue.

Hi,

Did you have the biometrics letter from cic?
My husband is still waiting for the biometrics letter but we already paid the biometrics fee last March. Can we go there without those l

Thanks.

Yes I did get the letter. I got it in their portal which I downloaded and presented at the ASC. I am not sure if we can go without that. They marked something on the letter and gave back to me though as a receipt.

Hey guys,
Thought I could get some help from here.
We're located in Detroit, and we had to book an appointment 2 weeks in advance (10/23, since we received our biometric request just yesterday). We are in America for Canadian Thanksgiving (10/14) and were trying to do 1 of 2 things:

1. Call USCIS Detroit and reschedule our appointment for any openings on 10/14
We just can't seem to get through to a live person to ask if there are any openings then, we call +1 800-375-5283, but there are no options; or
2. Can we just walk in with our documents and get biometrics done? I noticed this thread was only back in July 2019, so I don't think they have stopped walk-ins? Is it different per USCIS? On CIC a lot of the locations say "By Appointment Only"

Thanks a bunch in advance

1. You can cancel/reschedule appointments online without needing to call them. Go to the link where you originally went when booking the appointment, and they have an option for appointment cancellation/rescheduling.

2. My husband did his biometrics by appointment at the Detroit location; sorry we don't know about walk-ins!

Hello Everyone! Can someone confirm that they were able to give their biometrics in the US as a visitor (for example under a B1/B2 visa or another visa)? Thank you very much.

Hello, I got the Biometrics taken in a US location. They can basically be given in any location as long as you are able legally to be in that country.
