Yea CPC-M to MVO is slow but direct MVO is fast. September has been a shit show with MVO regardless though.
September has been very slow, maybe Manila VO are not giving out PPR's until further notice from Canada. I remember when my partner PA went for her biometrics at VFS Cebu back in June, the girl told her that applications in 2109 are going much faster but I guess everything stopped for the moment... I truly think that the upcoming elections have slowed things down dramatically, this would mean October will be brutal.

Plus it will be interesting what happens if there is a change in government.

I think nothing will happen with the application that are in process, but I think they will be much more scrutinized... does not look good if you ask me.... Seems like Trudeau will not pull this one through.

I hope someone could help us with our question. My dad is in the process of sponsoring my half sister. He didn’t declared her when we arrived here in Canada as PR. My half sister was a child of my father by mistake. He had a child from a girl whom she had one night stand. Ever since the child was born, we were the one who took care of her until today because the mother is incapable of sustaining her needs. We have already talked to her mother about bringing my sister here in canada and she is okay with it. She will sign any forms as she also wants her daugther to have a good future and one more thing is that she already have a new family.

My question is, based on the immigration checklist, we will ne needing a custody agreement.

1.) Is a notarized custody agreement would be enough for the immigration?

2.) I am also thinking to get a statement from her mother saying that ever since my sister was born, she never took care of her as she is incapable, she doens’t have a job and cannot provide my sister’s needs. Would that be a good idea as a supporting document?

Please answer. Thank you.

Your bigger challenge will be that your father did not declare her

Section 117(9)(d) clearly states that undeclared and un-examined spouses and dependents are not sponsorable as members of the family class. By not declaring his child, your father has closed off an avenue of investigation into his admissibility to Canada. The consequence is that he has probably lost forever the opportunity to sponsor his child.

There has been a pilot program launched by CIC for undeclared dependants https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/sponsorship-undeclared-family-members.html but if you have been told you would qualify for it, then you have been misinformed as it is for a very specific group. If you have not yet, I would enlist the legal help on this.

I believe my father qualifies for it as he was also sponsored under family class by mom 8 years ago. I’ve already read the Pilot Program that is why we will go ahead with the sponsorship. My question is about the custody agreement

They both would be fine as supporting documents. Was your father listed as the father on the birth certificate, if not then see if you can get it amended. Your father will probably also need to prepare a document as to why he did not include her as his list of dependents.

Just wondering...what's the shortest timeline for spousal Sponsorship with minor dependents and were transferred from CPCM to MVO?

Very little activity from MVO right now, plan for a year wait from application received as every case is different.
Seems more and more likely it's gonna be a year wait for CPC-M to MVO applicants. October applicants are getting their PPR's now on facebook.

Hi Guys, We received our CBSA notes today. It looks like it has the same information as the GCMS notes from IRCC.

From what I can see after looking at it briefly, our eligibility was passed on august 29th, which lines up with out pre arrival services letter. So I guess pre arrival does indeed mean eligibility is passed. It also says we are waiting for secondary review of criminality. That is probably the hold up at this point....
