Hi all!

I have linked my PR and OWP to CIC. Two weird things though:
  1. On my CIC profile, the OWP is just called "Online Application".
  2. Clicking on the application status of the OWP, it says "Date received: July 30, 2019". Even though I sent out my application package only on August 6th.
Is there a reason for that? Did someone else noticed these things, too?
1. Work permits are usually applied for online unless you send a paper copy with the spousal PR application. It will still be treated as if though it's an online application - there will be no correspondence mailed to you. It will all be online.

2. That is normal, my application was sent August 11, received on August 13. Online it says they received it August 6. It shouldn't be an issue.

I did not include any checklist on my OWP, just IMM5710 form (with barcode) and the payment receipts.
Hi,

Was it fine to send it like this ? Im still reading the thread. Im hoping to send my application tomorrow or Tuesday. Im also not clear if the work permit checklist needs to be send.

What was the date you signed the documents? Was it July 30?

Our application is ready to go for inland spousal sponsorship. My wife is from the US. The final piece of the application puzzle is the FBI check. Two questions that I have:
1) Is the e-version of the FBI check sufficient for the PR application?
2) Is it necessary to submit the FBI check with the initial application, or are you prompted for the FBI check later on?

The FBI check is holding us up. I have seen info on another site that you don't need to submit the FBI check with the initial application. I want to make sure this is done right. Any advise is welcome. Thanks
Hi
I havent read the whole thread yet. Have you applied with the FBI check? We are applying with all the police certificates from countries where he stayed from more than 6 months. I printed the online version of FBI check and I wanted to ask if that should be ok?

Hi @Ami55

I reckon it'll be about 50/50. There have been instances on this forum where people have lost their tracking number and had to wait for AOR or a returned application :( the good news about that is that the AORs seem to be coming in pretty quickly at the moment.

However, I did some digging around on other forums and some people have had success from Canada Post by going to the branch they used to mail the package and asking them to go through the receipt roll. It helps that you have the time and date and so they at least know what time to start looking. Did you pay by debit/credit card? That might also help them narrow it down and you can also tell them the exact amount you paid as well as the intended destination.

Good luck! Keeping everything crossed for you!
Hi can you please share which other forum you know about

Can I ask what you ended up doing? Also, where did you get fingerprints done? As well, did you put "Canada" for country of residence on the online request?

i did not send the checklist or extra copies of the documents that I was already sending for the PR application. Only the IMM form and the $255 receipt. It worked out alright for me. I still haven't got the work approval as it's still very early but I have linked my application online and it's being processed.

It wouldn't be the signature. I signed my form on July 27. Application was physically received on August 13 but online says August 6.

Hey all, I received AOR last Friday (October 4th). When linking the application in my GCKey, am I supposed to put down the sponsor's info or the PA's when trying to locate the application? I wasn't able to link it last night.

You should use the PA's information only. The UCI from the aor is the sponsor's. If you had given any uci from any application before you can use it. Also, you can use the Application number from the AOR ☺

It's ok, our lawyer has sorted it all. Thanks for the response though. :)

Questions to all who have applied for INLAND PR+OWP.

Did you guys pay for Biometric fee for OWP?
Did you guys ever received instruction of letter asking to do Biometric for OWP, if so where?

Thanks in Advance

You don't need to pay for biometric fee when applying inland. There are no offices from within Canada that can actually do them as of this moment.
