Hi

I (primary applicant) got my pr through oinp and planning to move by this month end. My husband (secondary applicant) moved to Toronto in August and since then looking for a job.
I understand as a pnp candidate I need to stay and settle in Ontario. My question is if my husband is a secondary applicant and is getting a job offer outside Ontario can he take it up. I will NOT join him and stay in Ontario only.
Can this be legally an issue for us now or later
Anyone who has experienced this or have any suggestions please help.

Thanks

Ok thanks.

Have you or would you know of anyone in a similar situation? We were also thinking as he is the secondary applicant it honestly should not matter where he works. I intent to stay in Ontario only

As a PR he (and you) can legally work in any province at any time. The obligation to Ontario is an ethical one and only applies to the principal applicant anyway. By the way, there's no such thing as a "secondary applicant". He is a "dependant".

Sure thanks for correcting me.
Do we need to inform anyone about this move or should we just go for it.
