PGWP approved today - Now what visa to apply for?

Hello,

I finished my Master degree in Canada and applied for a post-graduation work permit. The application was approved.

I am wondering what type of visa I should apply for in order to travel in and out of Canada. Couple of questions:
- What type of visa?
- Process to apply? Can I apply online?
- Do I need to submit a copy of my work permit as well? (my work permit application was approved today, I have not received the actual work permit paper)
- Do you have a link on IRCC website or a thread on this forum about this topic that I can read into?
- Other info you think I should know...please share.

Please help me answer these questions.

Hi Karenv, I have a similar question. Got PGWP but now I'm outside Canada. I tried to apply for TRV online, but the platform did not give me the option for TRV. The only thing given was the PGWP. How can I apply online? or it has to be a paper app in this situation? thank you!

I shouldn't say "my", it's my client's really. I helped her apply on May 13, just got it on Sept 27th, and I'm still waiting for the hard copy.

So that means cic is taking more than 106 day. I checked for processing time and right now they are processing 31 may applications. But it was updated on 15 sep.

They usually update the site every Tuesday or Wednesday, but alwasy back dated.

You need to select Canada as your country of residence & select worker as your status in Canada during the questionaire.

Thanks for your reply, Bongoman. That was exactly I chose, but the portal did not give me the choice of TRV, only PGWP which I already got. The issue is I assume Canada should be the country of residence, but what should I fill in the current address of residence? The applicant is currently outside Canada, would that be a conflict of information? Thanks in advance.
