Is there average processing time for those who received RQ after the interview in 2019?

What did they ask you in 0171? 0171 is the full blown RQ and I assume there must be more questionnaires and docs being requested.

For me , I got 0520 back in March 2019. Then they sent me final notice in May 2019 because they were still some tax docs missing . I called the call Center at the beginning of this month Sep2019 and residency check has been cleared.


You can contact the call Center and ask agent the status of the residency check.

now they’re telling me that residency is still in progress ! I got so pissed off. I asked for GCMS and received the notes in October and..,they’re still not done with checking residency yet. A few call Center agents in early Sep told me it was clear. I don’t know how they checked it.

Order your GCMS . One thing I noticed from GCMS is that since in the beginning when they first received and opened the application package in Nova Scotia, they determined that FP is needed. I cannot think of a reason how they determined FP is needed since the beginning. (probably because I don’t have a first name . I have no idea .)

Anyway, I got the test invite first. Passed the test, then received CIT 0520. Then CIT0519 (final request for missing docs). Then received FP request . And FP and background check is clear.

But residency still in progress . What about you ? Did you get 0520 too?

I received 0520 on sep 19th, asking for my record of employment (RoE) and Provincial Personal Health Claim Records (HCR). I submitted on Oct 15th. I called the call centre, they just you have to wait. I have ordered GCMS 2 days ago and waiting for it. BTW, what docs were you requested to submit in 0520? And what docs were you subsequently requested in 0519? And what was your interview date? Pls let me know

I received 0520 on sep 19th, asking for my record of employment (RoE) and Provincial Personal Health Claim Records (HCR). I submitted on Oct 15th. I called the call centre, they just you have to wait. I have ordered GCMS 2 days ago and waiting for it. BTW, what docs were you requested to submit in 0520? And what docs were you subsequently requested in 0519? And what was your interview date? Pls let me know

Then around end of May , they sent me 0519 because they said I was missing the T4 and bank and credit card statements in my name only.


Since then I’m waiting . What was your interview date? If they didn’t ask your bank & credit card statements, yours might be faster for them to check .

Also, in credit card statements, did they ask you for the entire period of eligibility you had mentioned in the Citizenship application? If yes, did you have the original statements mailed to your address or did you get it from the bank? Please also let me know what school records they requested; did you do your school in Canada? I did all my schooling outside, hence wanted to know what they could ask, so that I could be better prepared

they just asked for employment record on the list. So I asked it from former employer’s accounting firm with time in/time out and schedule and record. Then they asked me to send it again, so I figured they were asking for T4s.

I did some schooling here and also French classes . So I submitted those. Those were fine.

Credit and bank statements .. you can get them from online depending on your bank. Just print out the PDF online statements. That should be fine . I also sent the joint bank statements in addition to credit statements under my name only. And therefore , they asked me for the second time to give the ones in my name.

And yes for the eligibility period only .

I think yours will move without further requirement for documents; they generally take time in reviewing when it becomes non-routine processing, as long as you submitted you should be fine. I submitted the requested 0520 documents along with bank/credit card statements for most months (I don’t have all). Also, I submitted travel records etc. And since I hadn’t visited doctor in a particular year (as indicated from my Health Record Summary), I submitted/ pointed out additional proof of presence for that year. Yours should be fine. Good Luck!!!

Did they send you health record summary? I never received mine. In Quebec, RAMQ said they only send it to the third party . Not to us , I have no idea though .

Did they send you health record summary? I never received mine. In Quebec, RAMQ said they only send it to the third party . Not to us , I have no idea though .

I had to call them and ask them about the receipt of my request and follow up and request to expedite the request. They said the request is faster if sent by fax rather than mail. I am not sure about the Quebec though. But, I doubt if they could restrict individuals access to their medical records. If in fact that is true, may be you could try to access your Quebec health record using FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)

I applied for Personal Health Claim Summary with Service Ontario (I have lived only in Ontario). I had to call them and ask them about the receipt of my request and follow up and request to expedite the request. They said the request is faster if sent by fax rather than mail. I am not sure about the Quebec though. But, I doubt if they could restrict individuals access to their medical records. If in fact that is true, may be you could try to access your Quebec health record using FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)

Thanks @kot81. I did fax to RAMQ for Quebec health record . On their form, they clearly stated that they would send the record to the third party only, although I requested a copy for myself too, I never received one. When I called, they said that they sent the record twice to Citizenship office though. Bureaucracy is the biggest challenge for every single step. I’m pretty disappointed already.

I think it’s called ATIP (access to information ) in Canada. FOIA is for US only .
