It's all about how many points you have. With no degree, it will likely be quite difficult to get enough points to be selected out of the applicant pool. Right now you must have in the range of 450-460 to be selected. How many points do you have?
Note that the longer you wait to be selected, the more points you'll start losing due to your age. So not so much a matter of waiting years to be selected - as the fact that you may never be selected if you have insufficient points.
