Hello,

I applied for visitor visa last week and got a refusal yesterday for below reasons:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

Background: I applied for Recruitment event and got an invitation letter from them.
I provided my employment letter, leave approval, payslips, bank statements, invitation letter, cover letter explaining the details.

I was planning to travel alone leaving my son and husband. So I booked my tickets and hotel exclusively for me.

I have travel history of US(3 years back) and Singapore, Indonesia this year.

I don't understand where I went wrong. Can someone help?
Bryanna

What purpose did you mention in the TRV in to going to Canada? How long is your supposedly stay?

In my opinion that is a very bad reason to give. Going to a recruitment fair in Canada, suggests very highly that you are looking for a job there, hence a big potential of overstaying.

But that was actually my reason. I was selected for this event based on language and technical test. And also post that screening from recruiter called VanHack. They also shared invitation letter to apply for the visitor visa.

So, you think if I reapply with the same reason it may not help?

If you apply with that reason again, you will be refused definitely. Unfortunately, you have now quoted this. Can you attend go to this job fair virtually?

No, they need candidates for this event to be present there.
I am giving offline interviews anyways here. But, would eventually need to travel for them to evaluate me.
I provided them with my payslips, my husband's employment letter and own house deed and related papers. I thought that would be good enough supporting docs..

It doesn't matter, what you provide. Coming to Canada to potentially get a job is not going to work. The way CIC sees it is that if you can travel with that intention, you could just get a job, then stay illegally.
