Minimum wait time to sponsor parents after first landing as PR

Hi,

Can someone help about timeline (if any) which need to adhered before applying for sponsorship of parents. I mean is there any fixed number of years after landing for first time when we can sponsor our parents?

I am asking coz I guess as proof of income, IRCC asks for 3 year financial records. Does it mean minimum 3 years wait period is there for sponsoring parents?

What if he is critically ill and we can't leave him back in hoe country?

You have to have the 3 years meeting LICO, not just income. There isn’t any way around it. And if he’s critically ill, the chances are slim he would be approved regardless.

There is NO offical "wait time".
You need to give 3 years proof (tax return) of Canadian income meeting a certain amount (calculated based on family size). And to many people it can mean up to 4 years or more in Canada if they get a decent job very soon after they landed.

Unless you were working in Canada as a foreign worker a few years already, and have filed your tax, then you can apply right after you become PR.
