They changed it back a while ago. Check the date modified at the bottom of the page of instructions - it will tell you if it is up to date or not -

That is super weird. Because on the page for my application it says I need one if I've been in a place 6 months in total. I started the application back in August
That makes sense. So chances are they will ask for it and not just reject me outright because I didn't write that I applied for it?It´s not a bad idea to get it anyway. VOs will often ask for the FBI anyway (and it is their right to do so) even if you haven´t spent a full 6 months in the USA...
