Does work experience as a contractor (working for the company but getting paid by a staffing company) count for AOS? I understand it does, as long as it is 6 months under the same occupation (NOC) on the last 18 months... TIA

Do check your NOCs on https://alis.alberta.ca/occinfo/occupations-in-alberta/occupations-in-demand/ to get an Idea which skill sets are in demand based on their preferences (high,mid,low). You will get an Idea whether there is any chance to receive NOI with CRS less than 400.
To illustrate this, a person having NOC 6321 (CHEF) has great chance of getting a NOI with lower CRS score ~320 than an individual with higher CRS 380 with NOC 2172 (Database analyst), which is low in demand as compared to current market trends in Alberta.
I hope this will help everyone to understand how the process of getting nominated under AINP actually works.

My noc code is 1311 and it’s in the medium demand list. Is there any chance to receive noi.i don’t have any job offer, nor any ties. My crs is 341

Are you inland? Pls update any call or email. I am inland, have same NOC 1241 and documents reached 19 August and awaiting file number.
Guys, I have a few doubts. I would appreciate, if you can answer these.
1. Any idea from which number they call? Do they call using Canadian phone number or from their embassy in our native country?
2. What if my employer can’t communicate in English?
3. What do they generally enquire about?

As it is AINP, they may avoid embassy which has CIC office.
They always have bilingual staff, so officer would take assistance of CO officer or other staff.
Purpose of call is to ascertain genuineness of job, to do so officer may ask anything for his subjective satisfaction. I think Perfection of reply doesn’t matter but confidence in reply would counts more.
When did u create ur express entry profile. After how many months I got the noi from Alberta. And ur crs
There are 50-50 chance of getting NOI.. Fingers crossed. Be in th pool and try to increase crs if possible.
