Pregnancy while waiting for PR

This is regarding the change of circumstances while waiting for PPR email. Please read and guide.

Our medical was done in Feb 2019 while we were unaware of my pregnancy. When we received our ITA in June 2019, we submitted that medical along with our other documents and application and it got accepted.

Now I am due to deliver in early November and as per our CIC timeline our process will be completed by 22nd December. We got a biometrics request recently and have submitted those too.

CIC is unaware of my pregnancy as of now. At what point are we supposed to inform them of the impending birth? And how exactly do we reach out to them? Or do we wait for them to contact us to submit our passports and only then inform them about the new baby? How will that impact our remaining process?

Are you in Canada now? Where will the child be born?

We are in Pakistan and waiting for our PPR email for Canada. The child will be born in Pakistan, most probably before we receive it.

(Sorry I keep editing. These acronyms are very confusing.)

Inform IRCC of the pregnancy. They will delay your PPR. You will have to add the child after birth.

It says this on the link you provided:
You may use this form if:
  • You have submitted an application or profile.
  • Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times.
  • You wish to report important changes, such as a change in contact information, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment, withdrawal of application, refund request, or urgent requests. If you are reporting a change in contact information, it will take 5 business days for it to be updated. During this time you should continue to monitor your old contact information.
Our application has NOT exceeded the normal processing time. Nor have we given birth yet. It doesn't say that we can inform them of a PREGNANCY through this form.

So I suppose we should just wait for the birth or for them to contact us first.. right?

You should inform them ASAP to avoid further delay. They might be processing something that will have to be redone after you have your child and inform them, telling them now could help as they will do the needful beforehand.

That's fine. Use the form. You will have to report after birth anyway.

It doesn't matter what it says. Inform IRCC.

Agreed with everyone above. Inform them, it will speed things up later. It's not like they're going to be angry at you for telling them about your impending birth.

My friend's and his wife's Canada PR application is in progress. His wife's PR medical examination was completed 4 months ago and has been passed. Now they have found out that she is 2 months pregnant. Do they need to inform IRCC about the pregnancy, or should they only inform them after the baby is born?
