Hi

I am a principal applicant for Self-Employed Class under business immigration.

My timeline is as follows:

Received documents: Dec.24, 2018
AOR: March 2, 2019

My application status: (Sep, 2019)
-Reviewing of my eligibility
-No need additional documents
-Background check: in progress
-Final decision: in progress

I find my patience is running out these days. Because I recently heard another applicant, who was in the same status as mine, finally got rejected after ADR(additional document request). Before I knew it, I thought I am getting one step closer to Medical Exam Request.

Is there anyone who got the medical exam request after the same application status as above? I do not know my status is whether it’s ominous or not, at least is it a neutral process, neither positive nor negative?

If anyone shares with me, it would be of great relief to my current waiting.

- 29 Nov 2018: Submit application
- 20 Feb 2019: AOR
- 13 Mar 2019: AOR LVO
- 28 May 2019: Request for Police cert
- 10 Jul 2019: Submit Police cert

No request for medical yet. A bit anxious as some getting the medical request almost immediately after the PC.

- 16 Aug 2018: AOR received with UCI number of myself and my wife
- 02 Oct 2018 : Change of circumstances ( Added a new family member)
- 20 Aug 2019: My son receives the UCI number

Let me update my current situation.
As I logged in my CIC account yesterday, my application status message was changed to:

We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along.

Auto message? or ready for ADR? (Though it states no additional documents are required) or MER?

From which country ur friend has applied? If application rejects then what happens the payments.

"A watched pot never boils." Yes it's frustrating all the waiting but there's nothing that we can do once our forms are in the hands of the IRCC assessors. Either they're going to say yes or they'll say no. The speed at which a decision comes will depend entirely on where in the world your application is being processed: how many people work there? how many hours per day/week do they work? how many cases are they assessing? what's their local, regional and national information infrastructure like? does that country have fluid reciprocal information sharing agreements in place with Canada?

All of these things are totally random. A visa office could be busy for 3 years straight and then out of the blue it's got nothing so it's able to process things really quickly.

Does any of this make the waiting easier? No. However, it's all food for thought when we get frustrated at how long things are taking... Ultimately it will take as long as it takes, there's no point in trying to infer positive or negative outcomes from waiting for x or y periods of time.

Just get on with living life and enjoying yourselves, the chips will fall where they will in their own time.
