Changing Program to Bachelor's

I just got my visa approved for certification in Computer science at algoma university but I would like to change it to bachelor's of computer science. Any idea if i need to notify CIC? Or I can just go ahead as University said it isn't an issue for us.

You don’t need to change your study permit if you’re changing your school or study program. While you don’t need to change your study permit, you do have to tell when you change post-secondary schools.
