Hello, Good Morning. Me and my wife/family relocated from US to Canada last month. We had applied for a visitor visa for my mom-in-law to visit our newborn (3-month-old). Its been about 15 days since the biometrics was completed and it's still stuck in Background check status.
We have a family wedding coming up on the 5th of October in US and she needs to be attending that, My questions is.. If the application is still stuck on the processing stage, can she travel to US and complete the rest of the procedures of getting her Visitor Visa in the US even though the process of biometrics etc. was done in India?
Also, I have filled the web inquiry form now and that states a min 28 day turnaround. Is that the expected timeframe? Thank you for your time and advice in advance.
