honestly, this is really strange that your eligibility has not been touched since the month of March or probably your file has been waiting for background checks to complete

with regards to the factual content I outlined, it's up to you to consider it speculation or whatever...

good luck!
I know, it should have been. I fear the worst outcome of a rejection. I guess it's just a matter of time before we know.

Wishing you luck in yours. The last update we got was 9th August as I mentioned. Hoping we all get ours soon.

It's really strange that when we submit our profiles we are confident about the submitted documents but as the time progresses, you start to have doubts and start fearing the worst.

Totally agree. I think when so much time has passed you start doubting everything. Trying to remain logical.

Surely a rejection at such a late stage is unusual. Hopefully they will send ADR of there are any clarifications needed. Fingers crossed.

you don't worry, I ran into the post of legal falcon where he said that when your file move to visa office, your eligibility changes from passed to not started....maybe that's your case...maybe your file was undergoing background check and that ghost update was for it's completion and now you are in queue for final review by the officer and this is where your eligibility is finally passed by the officer for PPR

All the best!

ok, but how?
By looking at a number of threads during last 1 year, I’ve seen a number of cases with very high CRS waiting in queue while those with much lower scores are processed earlier. We engaged in many similar speculations such as scores, family size etc but eventually all turned out to be false. We don’t know how IRCC prioritizes our applications and this is just my observation. Of course I could be wrong.

I agree that sheer number of factors always remain unknown to us...but among them, CRS definitely is a key factor that determines one's position in a queue especially at the time when his/her file is transferred to local visa office...and that position is assigned by the system..

Sometimes during eligibility review, high CRS candidates have review required or comprehensive security screening issue whereas low CRS candidates have absolutely no issue which is why they get processed earlier than those with high CRS...

Anyways, this is just a discussion...

By the way, have you recently touched base with LVO for updates on your file?

Yes, we received a ghost update on 9th August. But on the same day we received a detail email to us explaining to us essentially that our file was in a queue awaiting review. So not sure what that ghost update was about.

We are 9 months now, all a bit worrying. Hope the wait ends soon, everything would revolve around this decision of theirs. Just not feeling very hopeful that it will be any time soon.
Hi, I got a ghost update on 22nd july and after emailing Mr. Goodale i came to know that my 'assessments are completed and passed as of 22nd July. File is in queue awaiting final review amd desicion'. On 8th August i got ppr. May be your case is similar why don't you contact IRCC regarding this for more clarity.

Hi Everyone,

My AOR is March 26,2019, file was shifted from CIO Sydney Nova Scotia to London VO somewhere in June.

Got an email from London VO as a reply to my email inquiring about the status, that my file is currently pending review by an immigration officer and theyll get back to me once they have an update.

I see so many of you with the same status. Would appreciate if someone can reply to few things

- what exactly this status means
-advise if ordering gcms notes at this point will help or should i simply wait?
-any of you who has the same status and got the gcms notes too, can they please share what their notes say

1) In general, the review means regular rounds of review by officer, but what makes it different though is the status of criminality, eligibility and security on file given medical is already passed.

the review can be final if all assessments are complete or requiring officer's review to get complete
the review can be intermediate, if statuses including eligibility are yet to be determined.

nobody can tell you about pending review meaning unless they know the exact status of your file in terms of both eligibility and admissibility checks.

2) Ordering GCMS is a way to convert ambiguity to clarity especially when there is an unusual delay and other sources of information indicating not-so-good status on file, the rest is up to you.

I cannot provide guidance as for the last point.
