Still Attending University - English Language Proof

Hello! As my user name suggests, I'm a little confused. I've heard very different things about the documents you can use to prove your competency in English or French, and I'm not sure what the truth is at this point. You see, I'm attending a Canadian university, in my final year. I have been told by an ICCRC certified lawyer/consultant that I can absolutely use transcripts from a program I haven't finished yet as proof that I speak English. I have also seen this confirmed by the instruction guide for the Citizenship application itself,
part 15. a. i.:

"Examples of the types of language evidence that can be submitted include:

You attended or are currently attending a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad, including:
  • A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary education program showing you studied in English or French, in Canada or abroad."
BUT, the wording on the online help centre also suggests that the degree must be complete. The date on the help centre page is from this august and the date on the guide for citizenship is from this june, which made me think maybe something had changed?

To add still further confusion to this, today I've spoken with an IRCC help line agent who initially agreed with the help centre, stating that I couldn't use in progress transcripts. After a period on hold, she did eventually come back and correct herself, stating that I was correct in thinking I could use transcripts from an institution I'm still attending.

Essentially, I don't really know what information is actually correct now. Does anyone here know what's up? Anyone finding themselves in a similar situation? Any help would be hugely appreciated.

By the time you get your citizenship interview/test you can show your completed degree then. But you can apply with official transcripts with what you have for now. If not just call the ircc help line.

Haha, you are right about the timeline. If everything goes right, I should be done class in about ten months and would probably have my degree by the time I got contacted for the test/interview.

I've already called the help line, as I noted in my initial post. But I suppose it might be a good idea to call one more time, just to triple check?

I've also gone ahead and ordered my transcripts from my English language American high school, as its a secondary program I've actually completed. Maybe I should include them along with my University transcripts just in case?

How did things turn out for you? Did they ask you for another transcript showing you completed the degree?

Take it from me. My final year of university started in Sep 2019. I applied in June 2019 for citizenship with my Original School Transcript and had another one (Updated one) at the time of my test interview in March 2020. absolutely no issue, 100% accepted. I had my oath last Friday to became a citizen
