I have applied for PR. The usual processing time has run out. If a friend (already located in Canada) goes to Ircc with details pertaining to my application(UCI, Application Number etc) will any information be provided?

No - not possible. You can't go to IRCC offices in person.

You should send a case specific inquiry to your visa office.
