Hello!
I had applied for my TRV from Kenya and it got rejected as they are not convinced I'll return after my stay. The reasons given were family ties, purpose of visit, and financial status (the bank statements I submitted had over 20000CAD)
A bit of background about me, I'm a 23 year old female, single. I live with my parents and wanted to go visit my great uncle in canada. I have lots of family back in Canada and since I graduated from university I thought it would be nice to go pay them a visit since I have some time on my hands. I am pursuing my masters here in Kenya and I did include a copy of my fees receipt and a letter from my college saying I'd return for the next semester. I'm currently unemployed; however, I do have an offer letter for employment beginning in a few months.
I'm reapplying and I was thinking of attaching the following additional documents:
My offer letter
A cover letter explaining why I want to visit
A modified invitation letter (my previous invitation letter was quite vague as it did not include any dates of my arrival and departure, just stated that I was going to visit over the summer)

I can't think of anything else that would strengthen my application.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
thank you!

Address first the reason why you were refused before you apply.
Family ties
>> Having a lot of relatives in Canada is not an advantage. Your ties to Canada are too strong .
>> You being Single is a red flag because you don't have dependents (spouse/children). .
If you combine what I mentioned you haven't demonstrated strong ties to your home country and can technically live in Canada illegally.

It would make an impact if you attach your Enrollment Certificate instead of a letter from your college saying that your return for the next semester.
Your offer letter does not have weight as well. In Canada you can simply ignore it or not honor it since it does not bind you to the company. Unlike a real employment contract.

Financial Status
>> Although 20K cad is a good amount, you might need to build up on your finances. The visa officers asks for the past 4 months bank statement to see the cash flow of an applicant. Your 20k CAD is a bit suspicious since you never had a job and just graduated.

My dad wrote a letter stating that he would be financially responsible for my vacation and the bank statements I submitted were his. I submitted bank statements of 6 months all of which contained funds of 10000CAD-20000CAD during the 6 month duration.
As a single person how can I strengthen my application??

Having a valid purpose, strong ties (job, assets, family) and financial capacity to travel.

In your case a bit hard since you haven't really established yourself. For now there are no ties that binds you or would take you back to you home country.

so were the funds your own or your fathers? was there a big deposit into your account prior to your application? So for financial status that could mean the money wasn't yours it was your fathers. So you could not support the trip on your own.
