General Consultant for Language Degree

hello all this question maybe have thousands side and answers , certainly all things related directly to how much applicant potential has and what is his approach and ...

my query is around FRENCH language Degree like TEF (not TEF canada) , if someone has really good potential and be diligent with hard effort , usually for getting B2 in TEF how many months can be enough ?
with private class(one-private class means) can reach to B2 within 6 months ?
i know everything or at least 80% back to how much he/she has been trying !!!!! but my query is around a difficulty of that
because reaching to B2 in English(IELTS) not take time more than few months

Do you speak/understand any French? If the language is entirely new to you, then it's probably highly unlikely that you will be able to reach DELF B2 in just six months. I suppose it's not completely impossible, but it will be extremely difficult.

OTOH, if you speak a related European language (Italian, Spanish), it should be possible with some hard work. I know Americans (so fluent in English, but no other language skills) who have taken the DELF B2 and passed, and it wasn't easy. A close friend took around a year of hard work to get there. But this was the first foreign language she was learning.

Naturally it's impossible to answer this for you. You may be one of those polyglots who pick up a new language very easily. But on average, six months to reach B2, with no prior knowledge of French/adjacent language will be very very difficult.

You are aware that you have to take the TEF-Canada or TCF-Canada for immigration purposes? The standard TEF will not be accepted by IRCC.

someone in other thread replied he got TEF and accepted[time around 6-7 months ago this year]

is mentioned :

For French

• TEF Canada: Test d’évaluation de français
• TCF Canada : Test de connaissance du français

But does not mentioned what happened for standard TEF !
did you ask them ? or have had any witnesses?

this is second time I've asked this query each times i get really different answer and logically can not rely on individual answer even i see references which clearly mentioned TEF will not be accepted by IRCC

how i can verify this question through a them [ircc] possible ask them by an E-mail?
one time i did for Ontario they answered me about language

or better some one solve this concern how much TEF can be harder rather than TEF canada
OTOH,while i will have prepared for TEF , can i give TEF Canada

I don't know why you're getting confused. IRCC clearly says TEF Canada. What part of this is confusing? They do not accept any other French exam.

It's like the IELTS. IRCC accepts IELTS - General. Not any other kind of IELTS (Academic).


You can see this here. These are the only tests accepted. They even have links that you can click on which will take you to the exact test page.

Nothing stops you from taking the TEF Canada if you have prepared for the TEF and learnt French.
