Could any kind person give me some suggestion about following issue:

My female relative’s husband married without her permission and left her. He never gave her any divorce letter. And he was extremely uncooperative and hostile each time she asked for any legal solution. For the sake of her own safety she decided not to do anything. My question is how should she report her marital status if she wants to apply for immigration?

Any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

What do you mean "husband married without her permission". This is very important. If she was married without her consent, Canada will not recognize it as a valid marriage. If the husband married a second wife, while still married to the first, then Canada will not accept the second marriage. The first marriage would be valid however.

Her husband remarried without her permission. Since she doesn’t have the divorce letter, but also doesn’t live with her husband, she is not sure about how to report the marital status in immigration related forms.

I'm not 100% on this, but I would think she would write in Separated with an LOE if the husband is uncooperative. Where does she live? Not somewhere where she could file for divorce on her own, I'm guessing.

Unfortunately, yes she has very limited options if she wants to ensure her safety. But thanks for the suggestion!

Separated.
