I’m surprised there doesn’t seem to be many of us applying in August so far lol.
This is my analysis - Most of the people in my circle found auspicious days in summer and got married then(Mar,Apr,May,Jun) and applied for sponsorship as soon as possible which is why we can see the number of application more in those months compared to August. I'm being hopeful that August applications get processed fast once July applicants receive AOR :-)

Less applicants means quick turn around for us (I hope, fingers crossed). I'm sure the major contributing factor is the summer. No one really want's to sit inside on a nice day. It was difficult for us as well, but we thought most people would think like this so we pushed ourselves to finish.

Good Luck to all of us! :)

Can we link the application now or you have to get AOR 1st before you can do it??
You can link it once it's fed into IRCC systems and by looking at the trend you receive AOR only a day or two after you can see the app on ECAS which means it is in their systems. so technically not possible to link.

In the spreadsheet they mention PA's country. Does this mean the country which they are applying from? or their country of origin?

It’s the country of origin.

Hi everyone,

My application was rcvd on 15 Aug.

So I've been spending 2 weeks now staring at mobile for an email, even though it won't come and doing a lot of What Ifs (what if I forgot to sign something??).

Good luck to everyone.

Wait for another month before expecting AOR1, usually about 45 day seems to be the norm. If you forgot to sign a form they will return the app to you, most unfortunate thing of that is they do not advise you via email that it is being returned to you and it is sent via normal mail not courier. I know we signed it all but made a couple mistakes which only found out afterwards. My plan is if we don't get the AOR within 60 days we will just resubmit the application. Mail coming back to the Philippines via regular post could take 2 months or more.

All we can do is keep fingers crossed be patient and wait. Doncond guessing yourself, you will just drive yourself crazy. Deal with it as it comes. Spousal apps are seldom turned down ifeverything is legit from what I see here..
