ITA through CEC- Spouse is Canadian

Hi, I recently got ITA through CEC class last week and few months ago I decided to go through the PR application by myself instead of using the sponsorship program. I recently got married to a Canadian citizen and while I filled out my application it also created a PR spouse form for my husband even though he is a canadian citizen. Has this happened to anyone else? We currently both live in Canada and I have been living here for more than 10 years. Even if my husband is Canadian do I still need to submit his medical exam etc as I dont understand why there is a PR spouse form when I mentioned that he is Canadian ... all response will be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I am in the same boat as you were for express entry. My spouse is a Canadian Citizen and we got married recently.

Did you need to do a medical and PCC for your husband? Did you also need to fill out all the information for your spouse after getting the ITA? I would really appreciate any input you could provide about your experience and any common mistakes that I might make .

I got an ITA under FSW and I received my ITA this friday.

This thread is four years old. The issue no longer exists - the system will not create requests for Canadian citizen/PR spouses.

A sibling is not a spouse. There's nothing at all in common.

If you are claiming points for a sibling in Canada, you should search the forum and you'll find many threads where people discuss what kinds of proof worked. The easiest thing is to submit copies of your and his/her passport/birth certificate with the same parents names on it.

1. Personal details
2. Contact details
3. Personal history

Under 1. Personal details :
We need to know some information about your spouse's family. Tell us about his/her family.
Does have a relative who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada? (The relative must be 18 or older and living in Canada.)
so I listed out his parents and sister.

Then the system asks me to provide:
Proof of PR/Citizenship of sibling
Proof of residency in Canada of sibling
Proof of sibling relationship
Family Member Proof of Status

It won't give me any points.
I don't know what to provide.

Yes. My spouse is Canadian. He and his all family are original Canadian.
He won't accompany me. I apply EE along. So I don't think I'll have points from his sister.
