Hello everyone, today I went for my citizenship test and I passed the test but the officer told me that we will schedule you for the oath ceremony in three months. My question is why didn't they do it right away as they usually do it all the time on the next day in the Scarborough office? Is there anyone can give me some a responsible answer? Thank you in advance.

This is how my online application looks like:

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 10, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 1, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on July 23, 2018.
  4. We sent you a notice on July 30, 2019, to appear and write the citizenship test on August 29, 2019, at 10:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Getting oath the next or on the same day is an abnormality not a norm. What you are saying is like buying a lotto and demanding a guaranteed jackpot win!

You might want to lower your expectations.
They'll schedule you at some point, but even the 3 months he said is not commital and can be exceeded.
Good luck.

I also did text/interview at Scarborough this August and there was no next day oath. However I got oath letter a week later for oath next month (September.

Next day oath is stuff of luck; happens when there's oath already scheduled for that day and they still have room for more people or to reflect diversity of immigrants.

Expect oath letter in a week or two.

Or month or two. No point in raising already raised expectations

Oath letter in a week or two after test, for aged applications without issues, seems to be the trend for Scarborough now. Anyway you are right, don't ratchet up expectations
