hello everyone,

My name is Abhinav Diwan. My Aor is 15 jan 19. Its been over 7.5 months but eligibility hasn’t started yet.

gcms notes received on 22nd August 2019 shows A11.2 check not initiated.

The reply from CIC on web form says ‘ file currently in queue for review by an officer’. What does this mean?

I am extremely anxious and worried about the outcome of the application.

Kindly suggest
Thank you
Abhinav Diwan

When were your GCMS notes generated?

This is the date you received the notes. When you look at the bottom left corner of any page in the notes, there is "date generated". Is it 22nd of August?

Oh sorry... generated on 26 July 2019.
It is likely that work has commenced on your file since the note was generated a month ago. I have the same AOR and i have received the same response from Ottawa and the call center.....''application is currently in queue for review by an officer''

I believe this response is given when your file has been passed on from the case analyst to the case officer.

Hang in there! We'll get it soon.

Thank you for the reassurance.
Actually, I spoke to the call centre executive last Friday and he said tye status is still the same i.e. Eligibility not started. Therefore, I am even more stressed now.

If the email from CIC came after your phonecall, then i'll stick to that. You can call back and hopefully another agent will give you a clearer picture.
Stay strong!

The email of ‘queue’ came in July. I spoke to the agent on 23rd August 2019.

What’s your take on it sir ??
In my experience if a call center agent decides to look into your status, then it's most likely the truth. I suggest you call again in a couple of weeks and check if there is any progress on your application.

I am not a fan of decoding the written replies given by CIC - "in queue to be reviewed" etc. We don't know if those are random generic responses or they actually mean something. All the meanings that people here provide are just speculations.

There is no way to deal with that other than to wait, call and order GCMS notes each month. I know how frustrating it is.

I called CIC on Friday and the agent informed that eligibility is ‘recommended pass’. I was delighted to see some movement after 7.5 months.
Now I just wanted to know the next step. How long will it take now for approval of the application ?
Kindly suggest

After eligibility, it is criminality and security. Criminality hardly takes time, as it depends on the PCC. Security is done by the CBSA and the RCMP and has no fixed time period.

Thank you for the information.
As per my Gcms, criminality is passed and info sharing is complete with NRT status. How much do u think is this info significant ?
Thank you
