Thank you for the help! I got the VFS e-mail that my file is ready to collect, So most probably i might have got my passport back, which i am going to collect tomorrow.

I tired calling canda high commision Delhi, but not able to get through. I sent back the e-mail to the E-mail id i got the the mail in the morning though haven't heard back anything yet.

I have booked my appointment for tatkal passport, hopefully if i get my passport tomorrow then will submit all required document to PKS by day after tomorrow.

one question. If i need to Call IRCC then which number i should dial in. @ulka0410 and @Amit22 . thank you!
I assume you are in India. If you get the file back raise a Tatkaal Passport request and get a new one. I think they are fairly quick and you should get the passport within a week.

In same time call IRCC to ask how can you update passport number once it is available and also put that in a webform.

Guys, is anyone able to contact CIC over phone ? Apparently it has become very difficult now. I am on day # 215 today and there is still no update! Still living on the hope that someday I will receive the golden email.
This is my 10th month. The wait continues

Fellow future Canadians (and specially my Indian brothers/sisters),

Sorry for the long post. I realize everyone is stressed out and on edge because of these processing delays. I hope you all get the golden email soon. Like most of you, I am waiting as well.

There are a lot of posts from people who feel like they *must do something* to speed up their case (and a few who claim their actions post-APR were essential to process their file and receive PPR) While you have every right to try to speed up your application, there is no evidence that any of these steps were necessary in the first place, correlation is not causation! (If you can cite facts to prove me wrong, kindly do so. I am open-minded)

However I'm going to just chill for another month or two, and if I still don't hear back, that's when I will order GCMS notes. Until then I'm just going to relax. Travel locally (currently in US). Eat local food. Enjoy the company of local friends and family while I still can. I do my thing, VO does their thing.

This is just my personal contrarian view that I am offering to this group, formed from prior immigration experiences. I am not trying to offend anybody, or suggesting that they are somehow wrong for trying so hard.

It must be kept in mind that Governments of developed countries are generally more reliable and system-oriented. Their low level bureaucrats do not need a minister's order to process a file. It's simply not India of the 80s where some sarkari babu is waiting for a suitcase full of cash, and if you don't send it, the file gets lost :D (Those of you who used a consultant's service to submit application are already starting to realize why that was unnecessary, and how things work differently outside India. Right?)

----------------------------

Yes, there have been delays due to high volume. But they've been very transparent about it. They only promised 6 months timeline for 80% cases. Since this is a forum for Jan'19 AOR, most of us are within "normal" processing range.

Here take a look at immi tracker: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application/analytics/statuses-by-months-of-submission

As of today from our cohort (Jan'19):
62% received PPRs, 37% waiting like us, only 2% were refused.

If you look at the cohort that submitted one month before we did:
79% PPRs, 20% waiting like us, no denials.

So while there are delays, things are moving forward. Most importantly, majority of us are within a normal timeline.

All things considered, Canada is still the smoothest immigration experience there is! I have been in US for 10 years with no Green card in sight. Many of my friends unsuccessfully tried UK before returning to India. An immigration process that gives you Green card before you even visit is AWESOME. We must maintain that positive, happy, and grateful mindset.

Let's keep the chin up :) Everyone's going to get the Golden email soon!

----------------------------

For those who have never immigrated before - the part after landing is while exciting, much harder. Their white collar job market is MUCH more competitive. Don't feel burnt out while getting PPR, waiting is the easier part!

While you wait, here are a few youtube videos for distraction, and to familiarize ourselves with our new home country. Enjoy!

Hi fam, how soon can one expect PPR when CIC agent says all eligibility and background checks are passed. Can they still send ADR after passing all checks?

Immitracker Analysis of Jan' 19 AOR
Refused cases = 1.82%
AOR Stage = 1.30%
Waiting = 35.06%
PPR = 61.82%

PPR Cases

10.92% cleared in 47-73 days
11.34% cleared in 73-99 days
15.97% cleared in 99-125 days
19.33% cleared in 125-151 days
18.91% cleared in 151-177 days
14.29% cleared in 177-203 days
8.40% cleared in 203-229 days
0.84% cleared in 229-232 days

Conclusion: Based on data from immitracker, IRCC is about 17% below it's "processing of 80% of application within 6months" claim. This is a highly significant deviation from such claims and thus makes such claims a total falsehood. Also, case clearance rate is about 0.44% per day, so it'll take roughly 80 days for IRCC to clear what's left. For those of us waiting, expect PPR anytime from now till Nov. 16, 2019.

The much of inactivity and sluggishness observed so far and lately is pretty much in line with your prediction of Nov/Dec.

How capable is disappointment in moulding our perceptions. At this point, even November seems like a good timeframe..

So, a little off topic.

I had to refill my contact solution and toilet paper today, and last time when I purchased these, I was like "this will be my last time buy these stuff here, when I use up these I will be in Canda and buy from Canadian stores!".

Nope, did not happen.
Lol I've said that about a ton of stuff! Apparently every drink I have is the last one I have before the celebratory golden email party! And I don't even drink that much!

You did ponder about withdrawing application and putting up in pool again, right? This is in line of expecting to be processed faster -
I hope this was bathroom pondering as well -
Don't do that man -
Don't even think that option -
I know thoughts fly here and there but that's not a good idea when you are this far -

Hey bro! I hope good news will come to you soon! Why would you want to do that? Cuz it’s a risk you know, you may get faster or may not and this is uncertain. What stage are you in now? Have you ordered notes or called them yet?

Notes dated May and July have no update, RR for POF since April (upload some updated documents thru web in Juna without them asking), Criminality pass, security not stare, info sharing is processed. No one touched file since April. Case assigned to CB01126 in Sydney which is famous for doing nothing.

Emailed MP, same status as notes.

Boss starting question why I am still here when I clearly told him it only takes about 6 months and he was not happy to write me the letter at first place.
