Hi
I am graphic designer with over 14 years of experience in this field. Overtime, I became a freelancer but worked as a freelance consultant from 2007 - 2016 working with international organisations ...but mainly as a consultant. I had some contracts like for individual assignments. Then in 2017, i started working fulltime and I am still working as that. I want to immigrate to canada but I want to be the prime applicant, my age is almost 41 and my scores isnt coming down to whats required. How do i apply and if there are some other visas i can apply to? Please let me know ...
thank you
regards
I think the important question which requires clarity here is:
Does a person have to be currently engaged in freelancing activity?
Why are you saying that you don't get sufficient points?
This program is different from Express Entry and immigration status is not granted based on the higher score rather how strong you make your case.
Prove that you have worked as a freelancer, by highlighting transactions in the bank statements, validating them on Invoices and email communication witht he clients. Get agreements and letters from clients as well.
Prove that you have supported yourself and your family through the income generated from freelancing activities and can support them in Canada.
Get your english language score.
You should get 35 points.
