Good morning all. I have one question. When Mexico ask for updated police certificate , does this mean that they are going to start my background check or no ?

To me it means they are working on it....and have been all along even if it says that it hasn't started.

Seems like from everyone's messages we have more people over the 12 months so depressing. This is so crazy I can't believe how backed up they are. Crazy to think that even some January applicants have not been transferred. So stressful for everyone I'm sure, let's just keep hoping they pick up the pace.

We have seen some cases where everything just comes all at once right before the 12 months mark. Hoping we see more of this for everyone.

Well not hearing much.. my husband just received a message that his application has been transferred to POS visa office now and they are requesting an interview! No date as yet as to when the interview will be!

Oh my. Same situation here on my side...just silence after aor2. However keep the faith everyone, this period in your lives will soon be over and you'll forget you even went through this. CIC really needs to realize the psychological toll this 1year processing time takes on families and some have to endure even more than one year of this nonsense. On the upside though (can't dwell on the negatives ) some PPR's will be issued soon and your turn must come , that's a fact. So, stay up and just live your lives in the meantime.God bless.

A updated schedule a requested 6 weeks ago, then got pre arrival almost 3 weeks ago silence since.

yes they did.. On July 5th, I got the first e-mail from Mexico.. In that email was the AOR AND the request for a new Police Certificate

All us Cuba applicants that sat in limbo for months have expired police certificates. The lack of consistency makes me crazy! I got AOR July 12 but no request for additional documents.
Hopefully you get PPR soon. Patience wears thin after being left in the dark for so long.

Thanks. My lawyer said chances are very slim they'd want a new one but it seems that many do need it... Anyways hope you get PPR soon hang in there.

Im September 4th 2018. So. They still have a chance to complete it within a year!
Haven't been waiting as long as many of the others out there like yourself. But it is tough. Hopefully they catch up and this 15+ month wait doesn't become the new norm.

Wait, so even after being transferred to Mexico VO - your file has to be transferred to another VO in another country. I hope the POS VO can work on processing your application faster than Mexico’s.

Usually Ppr came hours to few days after pre arrivals. But the past few weeks nothing. There are files from May, june, most July and no word on any August files complete. But soooo many interviews needed. Mexico is so backlogged, the Havana thread is very quiet through Mexico. And files are all over the place by order it seems.
