CEC August 2018 Applicants

Hello,

When I applied on August 30 2018, after a couple of months my medical was set to passed on Sept 25, 2018. Now, I got a ghost update a few days ago that my medical says Passed on August 13, 2019! (the date I did my medical was August 16th, 2018 so 3 days before the annual expiry date).
I guess this means my medicals got extended right?
Is it a good sign? When do they usually extend the medicals? is it when it is about to expire or do they extend it when the application is finalizing?

Generally I got to see after my understanding at various forums etc, People from certain countries once the Security screening is initiated they tend to take a long time....

These are both valid reasons! But for review required if you get GCMS notes before the actual officer reads your application (usually happens a couple of months after the case analyst), and send them more documents to resolve the RR on time then you'll be fine...

to be honest guys there is really no pattern of how the officers work on your file.. at the end of the day.. PPR is all we want

I called IRCC last Monday and they said my file has been approved. Within a few hours I received my landing interview email (the new PPR email apparently for inland applicants). I did my landing yesterday and got the PR status. Now waiting for the PR Card. It seems this month most of the backlog applications are getting progressed.

Ya the time depends upon application to application...my AoR was 23rd august 2018 and i got PR card on 22nd Aug 2019..so exactly one year

1 year is the typical promised 6 months for certain nationalities... I didn't want to accept it when I applied myself. But you better do from the very beginning. If lucky, you will get it faster...
