Hi! I am new and will have lots of stupid questions because I do not know anyone who has done this around me. So please bear with me.

I received an ITA on 20th August and here are my questions:
1. My job code is 2171. Does anyone have templates of letter references that I can use ? I will need 7 letters and have to draft the first version for all of them !!! This is my biggest worry and would love your help here <3
2. Medical: I have already booked my medical but not filled my application yet. Is that ok ? Like do I need to fill and submit the application before doing medical ? Do I need to give doctor some kind of special number from Canadian immigration form etc. ?
3. Police Verification : I have already booked my police verification appointment but not filled my application yet. Is that ok ? Like do I need to fill and submit the application before doing police verification ? Do I need to give police people some kind of special number from Canadian immigration form etc. ?
4. Dates in the form: Do my dates in the application form have to be exact and match the letters ? Because, in that case I will have to wait on filling the forms a bit
5. Personalised Document Checklist: I read somewhere that I get a personalised document list. When and where do I get it? After I have filled and submitted the online form ?
6. Passport: Do I need to submit my passport now at the end of the 60 days? Or they will process my application and will ask for the Passport later on!

Thanks everyone in advance for the help

Wowww... Those are a lot of questions.. Let's see what can be done.

1. There is a thread on this same forum of canadavisa.com regarding the format of template for reference letter. Search it in the search bar above.

2. You can do medical prior to filling in the forms. Its okay. But there is a form you need to fill in. Read about "Upfront Medical" for PR. You will have to give in your EE file number to the doctors so that they can update your medical info to cic.

3. You don't have to wait for filing in the forms in order to apply for PCC. Just go forward and apply from all the countries you have lived for more than 6 months in the past 10 years.

4. Which dates are you talking about? Employment? PCC? You should be knowing the dates for your education/employment/residence history and need to get all letters accordingly. Dates must match and there should be no gap in the 10 year history.

5. Yes. After you submit the application forms.

6. Passport is the last thing they will ask you. It will only be required to stamp you a visa (if you are from a country that requires visa to wnter Canada). Its commonly called PPR (Passport Request) and you get an email for it. That email is called the "Golden Email"

Good luck.

You need fill your personal activities for the past 10 years with no gaps, this should include study, employment and unemployment if that´s the case

If you leave gaps, the system doesn't allow you to complete the form. Then you cannot see the document checklist. I done that and I had to figure it out what wrong with it.

I believe yes they need it dead accurate. I am not sure if they aak for day as well, but surely month and year is asked. It is stated that do not leave gaps in between (when you start adding in history of 10 years). I guess address info doesn't need to be dead accurate as long as you can get your pcc. (BTW if your PCC also states addresses, then the police dept themselves would want proof of address from you for that particular period)

Like I graduated HighSchol sometime in Nigeria, and there is no way I remember when my Summer was and whatnot

Thanks for all the answers :)

1. I will check out that forum

2. So what is the benefit of doing medical before submitting documents and after ? Like, is it cheaper or does make the processing go fast? Or something else ? Thanks

3. Do I have to give a proof of where I lived for all the dates in those 10 years to CIC somewhere ? I moved around a lot in last 10 years and I was wondering if I will have to submit documentation for each place I lived as well ?

4. Got it thanks.

5. Oh wow!

6. Got it thanks.

I have 2 new questions about the letters:

My work experience was as follows:

All of these are in the category 2171:
University #1: 21 months part time at 15 hours per week Research Assistantship
Company #1: 3 months full time work at 40 hours per week internship
Break of 21 months as I was a student at the University
Company #2: 3 months full time work at 40 hours per week internship
Break of 9 months as I was a student at the University
Company #3: 3 months full time work at 40 hours per week internship
Break of 9 months as I was a student at the University
Company #4: 3 months full time work at 40 hours per week internship
Break of 3 months as I was a student at the University
University #2: 4 months full time at 30 hours per week Research Assistantship
Company #5: 26 months full time work at 40 hours per week job

Q6. My managers have since left Company 1, and Company 3. How do I get the work reference letters ? How can I manage this situation ?

Q7. Someone somewhere mentioned that I am allowed to only have continuous work experience. Smaller work experiences like 21 months part time or 3 or 4 months full time will not count. Can you please confirm or deny?

Thanks again, good people :)

Answer them to the best of your knowledge using any information that you can dig up from online or old records. Some fuzziness in dates is 'ok' as long as you are not leaving out important details.

I received . And have queries.
1) my spouse company has applied 2 /3 yrs back for business visa of usa for many of its employees and my spouse visa was denied but with no stamping.
Wat should i answer for statutory questions 4 and 5? Regarding visa refusal.
2) in family members travel history do we need to mention for each family member for same date and country?
Thanks

@Harsha009

If your spouse name is not mentioned in your passport then your police clearance certificate will mention that you are single. I have the same problem as well.

I have done some research and from what I have read I think a marriage certificate is sufficient proof. Also in my case my spouse has my name mentioned in her passport so that is additional proof. I hope your spouse also has your name mentioned in her passport.

Ohh is it ..my wife is also not having my name in her passport.. marriage certificate is only proof we have ... what should be the correct way here ?

What sort of gap should be mentioned? In mean length of the gap. Like i graduated in December 2011 and started job January 2012. Gap of around 20 to 30 days will count? Do we need to mention anything for such small gaps?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, WHO CAN HELP ASSESS MY EMPLOYMENT LETTERS

This is my biggest fear and concern, my friend just got rejected

Marriage certificate in case of special marriage act
Marriage registration certificate in any other case
Above are the exact documents to be provided for proof

For less than 30 days, it would not show up as gap since they are asking for months. For anything more or even for small gaps you can mention your status based on what you were primarily doing at that point for ex. Unemployed or tourism or volunteer work

Spouse name being present it not in passport of not an issue, you do need marriage proof, read my post above for that

1. Please answer truthfully, in your own words 'Visa was denied
2. Yes, I know it is a lot of info to provide but taking shortcuts or making assumptions can lead to longer processing times and/or ADR
