Thanks for your input .. It means a lot .. Another thing how much CGPA do they actually need for the admission ? My cgpa is total 67.40% in my undergraduate study.. Do I have any chance to get admitted with this CGPA ?
Have you seen this page?

www dal ca / admissions / graduate / international_students.html

It has international degree equivalencies that they accept.

I was able to match 6 courses but my scores in those courses were between 85-90/100. I'm from an undergrad in ECE.

They gave me 6 additional courses to complete with the regular MACS program like subjects on Databases & Computer Networks which weren't in my undergrad.

Anyway, I'm not accepting their offer because the tuition fee is too high
Hi,

I am currently in the phase where I am looking for universities that I can afford. Dalhousie Uni was actually one in my list which I could hardly afford. After seeing you reject their offer, I am now curious to know if you have actually decided on which Universities you are going to apply for. And one another question too, is it mandatory to finish GRE? I don't see you mention one in your posts, I am planning to apply for Fall 2017.

Many thanks.

I also had an admit from Concordia University which I accepted and have decided to attend. My applications are still under review at UOttawa, Western and Waterloo but these universities would probably give admits by September at the minimum.

I wanted to go to Montreal anyway so that's where I am headed.

My profile is in my signature and no, I did not need a GRE score.

As for the tuition fee, all these universities have a tuition fee in the range of 28k to 36k

Clarification: Dalhousie is an awesome university, I'm just not in the mood to do a course which would require me to do 6 pre-requisite undergraduate courses, 10 graduate courses and a 4 month internship making my degree 2.5 years long.

Conversely, Concordia had given me 3 pre-requisites(because of my ECE undergrad) out of which the graduate advisor has said 2 will be waived off for me.

I chose Montreal over other small towns and dull suburbs of Ontario!

As for french, Il N'y a pas de problème à apprendre le français! :)

But yes, you need to get a B2 in french which is not easy

You means montreal is having better job opportunities than others??
Nope. I meant that Montreal is a happening big city with an awesome nightlife and great food and a rich student experience.

For jobs, Toronto is the better option

You don't decide your stream beforehand. I think you decide it after completing one semester or after meeting with your graduate advisor once you're there in Halifax.

And again, MACS is not a research based program so there is no research area assigned
