i have a question.

My husband recently got his visa to come to Canada after 3 failed attempts yay!!!
He’s coming in October, can I file for inland sponsorship? Does he have to go back?

We have a business back home (jamaica) so he may be travelling to check in on the business. Or if anything I can since I’m Canadian but will this affect the sponsorship?

You can apply for Inland sponsorship while he's here but keep in mind then he has to live in Canada, with you, and if he leaves the country and gets denied coming back in then the application is deemed abandoned. It would probably be better if you went to check on the business but you need to be living in Canada together to apply Inland so trips would have to be short so that your place of residence isn't questioned.

When applying Inland he can also apply for a OWP and when that comes through his risk of getting denied coming back into Canada is very minimal.

If you want to apply inland you are supposed to remain in Canada and live together. A short trip of 2-3 weeks seems to be tolerated (everyone needs a bit of vacation once a year) but travel in and out is not a great idea unless he wants to apply Outland while in Canada. That would be an option but he couldn’t apply for a OWP. If he spends to much time out of Canada his sponsorship will be denied.
