Hello guys,

I'm in a unique situation and I need your advice. I'm an Indian Citizen, USA resident. Me, along with my wife received PRs back in May 2019. Looks like the COPRs got lost in the mail , we were moving houses and we never received them. All we received was the Passports with PR visa stamped in them. I took a chance and flew to Toronto without my wife to make the PR landing process and the Officer was kind enough to print a COPR at the port of entry. He even took my pictures at the POE and finished my landing process.

A few weeks later, when I tried doing the landing process for my wife at the Detroit-Windsor tunnel, the officer did not let her in without the COPR and claimed that the officers are not supposed to print the COPRs at the port of entry. How did I get a copy of my COPR from IRCC again. I did some research and the Verification of Status document (VOS) seems to be an option, but I guess it's only for people who have already completed their landing process with lost COPRs. I tried emailing the Ottawa CPC, that processed my PR and also raised a webform with the IRCC and received no response from either. I don't know what else I can do . I'm looking for any help/suggestions on how I should go about getting the landing process done for my wife. Thanks in advance.

Instead of mailing Ottawa CPC, did you reply to your PPR mail mentioning you did not get COPR. They repond to that mail very quickly.

Ideally, they place your passport with visa page open in between the folded CoPR. Are you sure that when you opened your envelope, you only found passports and no paper?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I received an response from the webform I raised. They're requesting a proof of my COPR, I think I'm going to email them a copy and see how it goes. Thanks again for the suggestions.
