Hi guys,

I am in a middle of nowhere. So need help. I recently did my IELTS with below scores.
Listening 8
Reading 7.5
Writing 6.5
Speaking 6.5
Overall 7

I am MBA graduate and have work experience of around 5 years. Is the IELTS score enough to apply for EE program ? Do I need to go to consultant ? Or should I attempt IELTS again ?

There are loads of of factor ... YOur work exp.. only IELTS score and degree not enough... your score is fine.. best naaa but will do.. but your age work exp adds up also

Thanks mate.. I find it confusing though whether to attempt IELTS again or not. Minimum we require is CLB 7 right ?? Which means 6 band in all.

thats minimun .. yeaa... but keep in mind the point diff between 6 band IELTS and 8.5 is huge...

You are correct in thinking that CLB 7 is enough to apply. However, you'll see from the calculator that you will get around 100 more points if you max out your IELTS.

You need a score of 460+ to be absolutely certain of getting an ITA.

Have you done your ECA yet? An MBA from certain countries may not be given Masters equivalency. Consider getting the ECA done by IQAS for the most favorable results. It's a long process though.

I agree that you should retake the IELTS aim for L8R7W7S7. How old are you?

Yes I have done ECA already with IQAS. Yes Im thinking of retaking IELTS. But what do you say if there is a consultant saying that I am eligible to apply and they can do it for me.

I say unless there is something weird about your application you should save your money and do it on your own. You really don't need a consultant unless that's your preference or you need help navigating unusual problems with your file.

Consultant can say anything to get your money. You are still responsible for making that determination on what if those claims are realistic

Yes youre quite right about this. I just have to get good score in IELTS and I can do it on my own then.

Absolutely.. that is why I was confused a little. Its really hard to get 7 in writing in IELTS. However lets see.
