Hi everyone. Forgive my long post, but I just have to share this. I have been following this forum since I had a bizarre result on the 6th of July 2019.

My first attempt at IELTS was on the 19th of Jan 2019 LRWS- 8778. Myself and my wife subsequently joined the poll in May 2019 after WES usual delay with 451, but that then was no longer a fashionable score. So we both attempted IELTS again on the 6th of July 2019 and my result was LRWS- 9,9,6.5,8, while my wife - 8.5,8.5,6.5,8. I immediately ordered for the EOR on the 19th July at IDP Nigeria, upon receipt of the result. I didn’t even leave the IDP office with the result form, paying nearly 300 USD for both EOR.

Now to the interesting part. Since the 19th of July EOR application, I immediately registered and wrote IDP IELTS on the 27th of July and the 1st of August 2019 without waiting for the EOR outcome. I scored 7.5 and 7 in writing on both occasion, but fell short in Listening and Reading in my attempt to get CLB 9. I had further commenced the registration for the 17th of August IELTS exam, because I was determined to write IELTS till the end of the year to get the maximum score. Surprisingly, my EOR for the 6th of July is out and my writing bumped up from 6.5 to 7.5. Now my new score is 460 from 451. I want to encourage someone today. Don’t sit and wait. You need to motivate yourself. Get up and do something, ORDER FOR THAT EOR/ SIT FOR THE NEXT IELTS, life is a pyramid, make your way to the very tip!.

Test date: 27th April 2019 (BC)
IELTS scores received: 10th May 2019
Scores: 8 7 6.5 7 LRWS
EOR applied: 15th May 2019
Acknowledgement recieved: 22nd May (2 to 21 days timeline and they asked to revert back after 28 days if no feedback is communicated)
Days passed: 19 days
I've just sent EOR Form to my test center (Canada - BC). Having some questions, appreciate if u can share ur experience with BC:

1. Was the acknowledgement email u got from BC or from your test center? I called my test center and they said BC is not going to send any acknowledgement email.

2. How many days did it take u to get the result? My test center said 6 - 8 weeks, while in EOR form it says 2 - 21 days and BC website says 2 - 4 weeks.

I'm having a feeling that my test center might hold EOR applications and results to get candidates register for new tests. I'm even worrying that they might not send (some) applications to BC at all.

I applied for EOR 3 weeks ago within Canada, still waiting no update.
Today I received my another test result and applied again for writing part.
Did u take the test at BC or IDP? After submitting eor, did u get any acknowledgement email directly from BC/IDP (not from the test center)?

Hi @alessio2110

1) I got the acknowledgement email from my test centre, BC never directly sends you an email.

2) I got the result on the exact 21st day. Even when I called my test centre for an update on the same day, they informed that it would take another 2 to 3 weeks but I got the result on that day.

My experience has not been that great with BC that's why my third attempt was with IDP and I got the required score in that attempt.

Hi, it was IDP. I received the acknowledgement email after I submitted required documents. It was saying I will have to wait at least 21 days to get the result.

Very weird and suspicious!
First, 6.5 for writing section, while they could see you've done a great job in other sections.
Second, felling short in L&R, while you've got 9 in both sections in the previous attempt.
Third, there is huge difference between 6.5 and & 7.5
I'm not sure, but what I see is preventing a candidate from getting CLB 9.
IELTS better to increase the fee to $1000 and don't play with people's lives.

My test was on 6th of July.
EOR applied on 25 of July for Speaking 6.5.

Today, I received an e-mail that the results has been (released) but they can’t reveal in by phone, mail !! or sms. unfortunately, I’m out of the country for a month coming. has anyone passes through the same experience? is it a good sign or it doesn’t matter?
