NOC confusion

Hi,

I have already applied under NOC 2121 (Biologist and related scientists) as my duties and responsibilities were matching with this NOC more than NOC 4011 (University professor and lecturers). The only thing that was matching to NOC 4011 was the title 'Postdoctoral fellow', but none of the duties matched mentioned.

Therefore, I chose 2121 over 4011. I explained it in the LOE that my duties match 2121 so I chose it. Wondering if it will create a problem or lead to rejection? As I have read, the NOC should match your responsibilities & not the job title.

I've done the same as you. Also sent an LOE explaining my doubts regarding the NOC 4011....as a postdoc I was hired as a research only basis and so the NOC 2121 fitted me well (I'm a geneticist and my research is in the human genetics/bioinformatics area).
I hope they'll accept this

My AOR is from AUG 17th 2020. I'll be 6 months into it in a few days...

They should do a better classification os postdocs. I believe most of us are actually hired as research only and not lectures/professors etc...

Hi... did you get any PR confirmation? I have applied using same NOC 2121. My AOR is Mar. 02. 2021. Haven't received any updates.

It's already everything passed, just waiting final decision. They accepted the NOC with no problems whatsoever
