Bridge Open Work Permit

Hi Sir,

I just applied for PR with CEC category (NOC B job) on August 1, 2019 and bridge open work permit on August 2, 2019 and my work permit has expired on August 8, 2019. I am on implied status right now. If I want to change the job now of NOC C category and will it affect my PR application and do I need to report to immigration?

I understand that i can work here on implied status until decision is made on my work permit application. I want to know as my SIN # is also expiring, do I need to report to Service Canada and also report to CRA for any income received on my account. Please advise.

Your SIN doesn´t actually expire and your employer will continue using it until you give them your PR SIN. So there is nothing you need to do yet RE the CRA or Service Canada.

Until you actually receive your BOWP, implied status means you have to observe the terms and conditions of the previous work permit. You don´t state what kind of work permit you were on (the one that expired on Aug 8). That determines whether or not you can change jobs.

Did you try to get the BOWP in the border?

After receiving the BOWP, is ok to travel out of the country? Or I lose my right of working?

You cannot obtain a BOWP at a port of entry.

Yes, you can travel after you receive the BOWP.

If you are waiting for the BOWP and your previous permit has expired - meaning, you are on implied status - you would lose your implied status if you left Canada. You can travel, but you would not be able to work when you return until you actually receive the BOWP.

Sorry sir, I forgot to mention that i was on Post Graduate Open Work Permit. If i change job, do i need to report to immigration and will it affect my PR?

Also, is it possible to apply for TRV visa now instead of waiting for approval of BOWP. Please advise.

hi bro, I have only applied for BOWP yet, as sir mentioned we can not obtain it in border. we will get it on our mailing address once it is approved
