Work condition not mention in study permit

Hello guys am also in thesame situation, I arrived in Canada on the 08 August and went to service Canada on the on 12th to obtain my social insurance but I was told I'm not eligible to work as immigration officers made a mistake in study permit, then they gave me a form to fill and I was told they will send it to there main office, those are the ones who will issue it and mail it to me, I was told approximately it takes 20 working days.
Am on a study permit

It was my study permit. The form was Request to Amend the record of landing. I've sent the document to Ottawa already.

It’ll take 2 weeks

I did mine in May .

When I called them today they said like it will take one month to process ! If you received within 2 weeks that's great. Your one is study permit ? I just sent my documents yesterday.

Yes, within 2 weeks your old permit should say “Document Is Invalid”

And new document will be added.

2-3 weeks is an approximate timeline.

Ok thank you. Infact ive sent my original old documents to Ontario. I should give them a call by end of the week. Till I get new letter I can't work ?

You can’t work as you don’t have SIN.
Once you get new document, you will go to Service Canada, get SIN, then work.

So yeah you can’t work.
Also you can’t work until you start your classes.

If you start working before classes start it may affect your future applications as it’ll be unauthorized work.

Oh I see. Thanks for enlighten me. Really you helped me in this issue. I though I can work even before start my classes. My classes starts end of the month. What should I do to expedite the process of getting the SIN ?

No,
Don’t do that !!

Unfortunately everyone thinks they can work, but you only can work when classes start.

Please go through online guides on working while being a student.

You also need to be a full time student to be working part time.

And working full time in academic breaks only.

I'm a full time student. Immigration officer did a mistake while giving my study permit not mentioning the work conditons. I hope I'll get my amended permit at the earliest by God willing.
