To apply for a passport do I need to show my proof of citizenship? Which is the certificate? If i have to show this is it better to take the application myself rather than mailing it in?

Another question? Do my Grantor have to sign my passport pictures?
Thanks!

The answer to both questions is available here :
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/new-adult-passport/apply.html

Long story short, Passport Canada needs your original proof of citizenship. If you mail it, it will be returned to you by mail along with the passport. But it's probably better to show it yourself and keep it.

Your garantor needs to sign ONE picture and write "I certify this to be a true likeness of <your name>" on its back.
Thanks. Can born canadian with an expired passport be my reference ? It doesn't matter if his passport is expired ?

Your 2 references don't even need to be Canadians. So, no passport issues for them.
